A Grade Signage, a Melbourne based Sign & Engraving company was established in 1986. Isaak and Michael Masion (father and son) was a perfect combination; Isaak (born in Russia, and emigrated to Australia in 1980) with over 35 years experience in engraving and toolmaking, and Michael - fresh out of high school full of bright new ideas on business and technology.
In 1988, we invested in our first large format CNC router (similar to this one):
This was one of the first machines of this type in Melbourne, and heralded a technological revolution.
Now:
Isaak has retired from full time work, while Michael (who first took over running the company in 1991) is continuing the family business with the help of his lovely wife Anne and a small dedicated team of staff.
